Although we're less active in Chelmsford than we'd like to be, there are still plenty of groups for you to get cycling.
If you're a woman, we'd love for you to join our Women Time group to get active and exercised cycling.
We also support the Chelmsford Chainlinks group with their project to get people cycling.
Happy Handlebars, in association with Chelmsford City Council, leads Women Time cycling every Tuesday and Saturday, supported by volunteers from Chelmsford Chainlinks.
Our learn-to-ride session starts at 10:00am, for people of all ages. Never cycled before, or simply want refreshing? Our expert team would be delighted to get you cycling in a supportive and friendly manner.
Starting at 11:00am until 12:30pm, we have a gentle cycling session on scenic routes in Chelmsford. Starting at Central Park, our rides take you through the beautiful scenic Essex countryside.
All our Women Time groups start at the Cake at the Lake cafe in Central Park, Chelmsford. We have bikes for you to use, so don't worry about bringing your own, although you're always welcome to ride your own bike should you have one.
After the first four sessions we ask that you make a small contribution of £3 per session to support our ongoing work encouraging people to cycle in Essex.
Chelmsford Chainlinks are a group who aim to encourage people to cycle in Chelmsford. With 20-30 people cycling each week, the project is popular with people of all ages, and their gentle rides allow for those of all abilities to join in.
